Limestone Gate Piers

After 20 months in Birmingham working on the restoration of the Town Hall with Croydon-based specialists Stonewest, stone carver Andrew Swinley is back in his workshop near Chichester, West Sussex, where one of his first commissions was a pair of Portland limestone gate piers for a client in Virginia, USA. They are 750mm high and 600mm in diameter and depict an oak tree growing out of a crown.
